I have on old Range Rover, therefore I do car maintenance!  I have had a gas conversion done.  At half the price of petrol, the fuel costs are bearable (approx £10 / 100 miles)

At the tail end of last year, the jalopie failed its MOT.  There were the usual few wee things, but the major item was the steering box leaking oil.  I had two choices;

Buy a new box at about £300  or  Buy a seal kit at £20.

The latter won.  It wasn't that easy taking seals off with the spindles in place, but the job was done and three months later there are no new leaks. ( sigh of relief ).
